Rapper Eminem to release ‘Shady XV’

Slim Shady is celebrating 15 years of his Shady label with a two-disc compilation.

Eminem, né Marshall Mathers, is set to release a compilation titled Shady XV to celebrate the 15th anniversary of his Shady label on Nov. 28, according to Billboard.

The new record is a two-CD collection, with one CD dedicated to the Shady label’s greatest hits, including 50 Cent’s “In Da Club” and Eminem’s “Lose Yourself.” The other CD is devoted to new material by artists on Mathers’ label, including Eminem, SlaughterhouseBad Meets EvilD-12 and Yelawolf.

It will be the 15th record in 15 years on Shady, the label that Mathers started with his manager Paul Rosenberg.

“Guts Over Fear” — the compilation’s latest single — was released Monday. The Sia-backed Eminem track is produced by Emile Haynie, who also produced the Slim Shady rapper’s Recovery, which won a Grammy.

The new single has also been heavily featured in advertisements for the new film The Equalizer, to be released Sept. 26. The new action film, directed by Antoine Fuqua, stars Denzel Washington. In addition to trailer appearances, the song is also featured in the film’s end credits.

Mathers has been actively promoting the new single and album. For the final show of Eminem’s The Monster Tour in Detroit, Mathers donned a “Shady XV” shirt.

On Sunday, Eminem tweeted a 20-second clip announcing Shady XV.
