The man said he was often high or drunk when he had sex with the corpses under his care.
An Ohio man says he had sex with as many as 100 corpses while working the night shift at a Hamilton County morgue between 1976 and 1992, the New York Daily News reports.
“I would just get on top of them and pull my pants down,” Kenneth Douglas told a courtroom.
Douglas said that he was often high or drunk when he had sex with the corpses under his care.
Hamilton County has argued that it isn’t responsible for the actions of its employees, but a federal appeals court has ruled that the Ohio county can be held liable for Douglas’ misdeeds, TIME reports. In other words, the families of the man’s victims can sue the county.
According to TIME, Douglas has already been charged and convicted in three cases of gross abuse of a corse.
Douglas’ wife said she phoned the morgue supervisor about her husband’s strange scent after work.
“He said, ‘Whatever happens on county time and on county property is county business,'” Douglas’ wife recalled, according to WPTV.
