Planned by his widow Susan Schneider, family members and close friends are scheduled to meet for a private funeral service for the late actor Robin Williams. Schneider is said to have planned the service to be a time where loved ones will be able to say their goodbyes to the beloved actor and comedian. Williams was found dead in his home Monday at the age of 63 and is survived by his three children and third wife Susan.

It has been reported by E News sources Susan expressed the memorial will be small as the couple were both very private people. It was released as a statement from the New York Times monday by Susan, “This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one if its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken. On behalf of Robin’s family, we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief. As he is remembered, it is our hope that the focus will not be on Robin’s death but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions.”

Williams was reported last to be seen alive about 10:30 on Sunday by his third wife when she went to bed. Williams reportedly locked himself in a different bedroom before hanging himself after years of battling depression. Susan had left the house around 10:30 am to run errands, believing her husband was still asleep. An assistant became worried after Williams could not be awakened, and broke into the bedroom to find Williams dead.

Although an investigation is underway, a conclusion has not been reached, however it is believed by California police Williams death was caused by asphyxia due to hanging.
