Robin Williams’ friend: Parkinson’s drug led to suicide

Rob Schneider met Williams years ago when they appeared together on NBC's Saturday Night Live.

Actor and comedian Rob Schneider, a good friend of the late Robin Williams, is convinced that the Good Will Hunting actor committed suicide because of the Parkinson’s medication he was taking.

“Now that we can talk about it #Robin Williams was on a drug treating the symptoms of Parkinson’s,” Schneider tweeted. “One of the side effects is suicide.”

Last week, Williams’ wife, Susan Schneider, revealed to the world that Robin had recently learned that he was in the early stages of Parkinson’s disease. According to Susan, Williams was “not yet ready to share [his diagnosis] publicly.”

According to the Daily Mail, Schneider met Williams years ago when they appeared together on NBC’s Saturday Night Live.

Williams’ family and close friends have begun arriving in the San Francisco Bay area to attend a private memorial service for the late actor, multiple media outlets report.

Robin has three kids from previous marriages.
