Upcoming film's plot will revolve around two new characters trying to save Luke Skywalker from a mercenary group known as The Inquisitors.
Lucasfilm and J.J Abrams have been hard at work keeping details about Star Wars: Episode VII under wraps, but rumors are continuing to surface about the highly-anticipated film. Several websites are now claiming to have insider knowledge abut Episode VII‘s villains, and have valid evidence to back up their claims.
J.J. Abrams released a picture of a robotic hand at the end of his “Star Wars: A Force For Change” charity campaign which many fans speculated belonged to Luke Skywalker, but Badass Digest reports that this was an intentional misdirect and the hand actually belongs to the primary villain of Episode VII. Badass Digest writes that this villain is the head of a group called The Inquisitors, who has deep red eyes, a face which is half-metal, and wears a black robe. Latino Review also confirms rumors that The Inquisitors, a secret division of Imperial Intelligence made up of dark side Force-sensitive “mercenaries”, will be the villains in the film.
“Under the control of Darth Vader, these Inquisitors were considered the highest ranking of the Dark Side Adepts, outranking the Emperor’s Hands, Prophets of the Dark Side, and lesser Dark Jedi. They reported directly to Emperor Palpatine,” states Star Wars Wikia.
Last month, Latino Review wrote that they believe the plot for Star Wars: Episode VII will involve the two new characters played by Daisy Ridley and John Boyega finding the lightsaber Luke Skywalker lost when his arm was cut off and crossing paths with Han Solo and Chewbacca during their quest to return the weapon to Skywalker. Now, the site is revealing that their journey is made more difficult because Skywalker has been a captive of The Inquisitors for the past 30 years.
Rumors state that Darth Vader himself will be making an appearance in the film via flashbacks, giving orders to The Inquisitors. Since a character called The Inquisitor will be prominent in the upcoming animated series Star Wars: Rebels, it is possible that the TV show will provide viewers with some clues to what will happen in Episode VII.
Some next-generation Stormtrooper images have also hit the Internet this week, and Latino Review states that these pictures are real and the Stormtroopers in the upcoming film will have a new weapon – flamethrowers. They also believe that some Stormtroopers will have the ability to cloak themselves.
Fans will have to wait until Christmas 2015 to find out whether or not these new rumors are based in truth.
