Anna Paquin corrects Larry King on bisexuality: ‘I don’t think it’s a past tense thing’

King asked Paquin if she's a "non-practicing bisexual."

During a recent interview with Larry King on Larry King Now, actress Anna Paquin took the opportunity to correct King’s thinking on bisexuality.

When King asked Paquin if she’s a “non-practicing bisexual,” Paquin said: “Well, I am married to my husband,” adding, “And we are happily, monogamously married.”

“But you were bisexual?” King asked the True Blood actress, wondering what the current status of her sexuality is.

“Well, I don’t think it’s a past tense thing,” Paquin, who has two children with husband Stephen Moyer, corrected King. “Are you still straight if you are with somebody?… If you were to break up with them or if they were to die, it doesn’t prevent your sexuality from existing. It doesn’t really work like that.”

According to the New York Daily News, King finally finished his rather intimate line of question with a joke: “Stop with wishful thinking.”

The True Blood actress came out in 2010 in a PSA for the Give a Damn campaign.
