In a bid to (almost) bare it all, Christina Aguilera flaunts her blossoming pregnancy belly while posing for VMagazine.com. The multiple Grammy-award winning singer appears completely nude in some of the photos, while placing her hand over her breast and allowing the placement of her thigh to cover her private parts.

Aguilera is expecting a daughter with fiance Matt Rutler, who also appears in the photos. In one, The Voice coach leans in for a kiss from Rutler, who is shirtless. In another, her sheer, white dress leaves little to imagine. All of the photos prominently display the star’s glowing—and growing belly. Her fiance’s backside also makes a cameo in the spread.

In an accompanying interview with VMagazine.com, the 33-year-old said that she wanted to document her second pregnancy in a compelling way that sends a message to other women.

“As a woman, I’m proud to embrace my body through all stages of life, staying fearless and confident in surrendering to the unknowns the future has in store,” she said.

Aguilera teamed up with photographer Brian Bowen Smith to create the sizzling  images, telling the magazine she wanted “to capture some blissful moments before she gives birth.”

She is mother to a 6-year-old named Max with ex-husband Jordan Bratman. Aguilera also posed nude while expecting Max, that time for the cover of Marie Claire in 2007. She  has been compared to Demi Moore, who was the first to pose nude while pregnant. Moore appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair 1991, introducing the world to the now famous naked-pregnancy pose. Cindy Crawford, Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson have also appeared in similar photos.

Aguilera is on a break for this year’s season of The Voice but is set to return for season eight in 2015.
