Beyonce has done it again: she released new material in the middle of the night without warning. Only this time, it was not a whole album, but rather a remix featuring Nicki Minaj.

Back in December 2013, Beyonce did something that had never been done before: she dropped an album with no warning, and it performed amazingly. Fans and critics ate Beyonce up and it went on to be one of the well-loved and critically acclaimed albums of the year.

Well, now she is keeping with tradition and doing it again with the remix for another track off Beyonce, “Flawless.” The original version features Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, but the new one has one of the best female emcees out right now: Nicki Minaj. Plus, this version touches on a top news story from 2014 – the Solange/Jay Z elevator scandal.

“Of course sometimes shit goes down when there’s a billion dollars on an elevator.”

Too bad she did not also toss in something about the rumors that she and Jay’s marriage is on the rocks. That heresy has been swirling ever since the elevator incident. Then Beyonce went and adlibbed new lyrics during their current summer tour to a song that insinuated that Jay had cheated recently. It is hard for fans to believe that the reigning king and queen of the music industry would get a divorce.

Beyonce did not put it to song, but she has been very vocal on her Instagram about the divorce rumors. She has posted very loving pictures of Jay and their daughter Blue Ivy with captions that ensure fans that everything is a-okay in their relationship.
