Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult have called it quits before only to get back together again, but maybe this time the breakup will stick.

According to sources, it was Hoult who called things off with the Oscar winner because her ego was beginning to be too much for him, and she was obsessed with the idea of fame. There is also talk that he did not want to date an A-lister anymore. While the two were rumored to be great friends, making negative rumors a bit hard to believe, the fact remains that Lawrence is on top of her game right now and continues to slay awards season. If the rumors are true, then it’s a shame he could not handle her growing success.

When they ended things in 2013 it was due to their work schedules, but they persevered and made it work so they might do that again. At the very least, they will remain friendly towards one another since they will continue to work with each other in the X-Men series. The next one, X-Men: Apocalypse, is in pre-production and due out in 2016.

In the meantime, they will both focus on separate projects. Lawrence has two more movies coming out in The Hunger Games series, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 this fall and Part 2 in 2015. Hoult is also keeping busy with Charlize Theron by his side. The two will star in this year’s Dark Places with Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks and Kick-Ass’ Chloë Grace Moretz, as well as in 2015’s Mad Max.
