Christina Aguilera is not only pregnant, but — as shown in a recently-released sultry nude photoshoot — she is also extremely confident with her new body. She and fiancé Matt Rutler both posed for photographer Brian Bowen Smith, who published his pictures on VMagazine.com.

“As a woman, I’m proud to embrace my body through all stages of life, staying fearless and confident in surrendering to the unknowns the future has in store,” said the 33-year-old The Voice coach.

Christina, who is expecting a baby girl with Rutler, can be seen in the photos covering her right breast with her hand, but is otherwise completely naked in the shots. In one image, Aguilera leans in for a kiss from her shirtless fiancée while cradling her stomach. Another shot shows her in a see-through white dress.

Aguilera and Rutler met in 2010 on the set of Burlesque, where Matt had been working as a production assistant.

The ‘Beautiful’ singer announced her pregnancy this year in February, just one week after Rutler proposed in the backyard of their new home in Los Angeles on Valentine’s Day. While this is the couple’s first child together, Aguilera has proven her confidence with her pregnant physique before — she posed in nothing but a leather jacket on the January 2008 cover of Marie Claire prior to welcoming her son, Max, with ex-husband Jordan Bratman.

A number of other celebrities have posed naked while pregnant. Over two decades ago, for instance, Demi Moore started the trend on the cover of Vanity Fair while pregnant with her daughter Scout. Since then, Miranda Kerr, Britney Spears, Cindy Crawford and Mariah Carey have all posed nude while they were expecting.

Aguilera has a new album in the works, and has announced her plans to return to The Voice for Season eight following the birth of her second child.
