Rihanna's homeless stalker has been arrested in New York and is currently being held without bail.
Rihanna’s stalker was taken into custody by police on Thursday after leaving threatening notes at her rental home in New York.
A homeless man named Kevin McGlynn was caught leaving inappropriate handwritten notes at Rihanna’s luxury apartment suite on a variety of occasions over the past month. The notes contained threats, and in some instances called the pop star derogatory names.
Footage from surveillance cameras reveals Kevin McGlynn leaving the messages himself. There are also rumors that he sent letters to her home in California as well. All of this evidence is helping prosecutors build a case against Kevin McGlynn.
A major factor in his arrest is that Kevin McGlynn accidentally dropped his benefits card during a recent visit to Rihanna’s apartment. This allowed authorities to track him down with relative certainty about his identity.
He is currently arraigned on stalking, menacing, and harassment charges without the possibility of bail in the New York Court system. While in court, Kevin McGlynn claimed several famous musicians, including Rihanna, Kanye West, and Jay-Z, stole his material and argued with the judge that he was not allowed to represent himself during trial.
Because Kevin McGlynn has a long history of arrests, he will not be allowed to walk with bail this time. It does not help that he has a history of trespassing charges as well.
This is hardly Rihanna’s first encounter with a stalker. She had an incident just last year with a stalker who claimed to be her “future husband.” Another stalker, prior to last year’s incident, scared the star and burglarized her home.
