Cyrus makes an appearance approximately midway through video.
Pharrell Williams released the music video for “Come Get It Bae” on Wednesday.
The catchy single features pop star Miley Cyrus, who makes an appearance approximately midway through video. Interestingly, the “We Can’t Stop” singer lets the other girls do the twerking in Pharrell’s artsy offering.
According to the New York Daily News, the video starts with the phrase, “Beauty has no expiration date.” The rest of the video is a dance audition in which various women show off their moves for Pharrell and the film crew.
It appears that Pharrell’s second solo album represents a change in focus from his first solo album.
“I wrote those songs out of ego,” Pharrell said about his previous hits during an interview with GQ magazine at the end of February. “Talking about the money I was making and the by-products of living that lifestyle. What was good about that? What’d you get out of it? There was no purpose. I was so under the wrong impression at that time.”
Here’s a complete list of songs on Pharrell’s latest album, G I R L. According to Us Weekly, “Come Get It Bae” is Pharrell’s second U.S. single from his new album. The first single was the Oscar-winning “Happy.”
