Cyrus squashed the death rumors with eight different photos on Monday.

Singer Miley Cyrus isn’t dead and she has a topless pic in the desert to prove it.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, death rumors involving the pop singer began over the weekend with the following Facebook post, “(SHOCKING) Miley Cyrus Found Dead in Her Los Angeles Home! Country singer Miley Cyrus found overdosed this afternoon in her Los Angeles home,” went viral.

Soon, several amateur sleuths had pointed out that Cyrus had been absent from social media for several days (prior to Monday, her last social media activity was on Friday, July 18).

Thankfully for her fans, Cyrus posted a topless pic in the desert yesterday to put an end to the death rumors. In fact, Cyrus posted eight different photos on Monday, including one in which the We Can’t Stop singer wore colored braids in her hair.

Cyrus certainly isn’t the first celebrity to be the victim of a death hoax. Several years ago, Kris Jenner was rumored to be dead, according to various reports on Twitter. Kim Kardashian, however, quickly slammed the rumor: “The awkward moment when ‘RIP Kris Jenner’ is trending yet I’m the phone with her! LOL,” the reality star tweeted at the time.
