Adam Levine, lead singer of the band Maroon 5, married his girlfriend Behati Prinsloo in Mexico over the weekend. Levine, 35, started dating the 25-year-old Victoria’s Secret model in 2012. They broke up once, but later on reconciled. In 2013, the couple became engaged. The ceremony took place in Cabo San Lucas.
This is the first marriage and a change of heart for Levine, who once said he would never get married. They wed on Flora Farms, a high-end resort in front of 274 guests. Prinsloo wore a stunning Marchesa gown while Levine sported a tuxedo. Coco Rocha, a fellow model, served as one of the bridesmaids, while fellow band mate Jesse Carmichael served as the best man. Levine and Carmichael have been friends since they were kids. The couple is planning to spend their honeymoon in South Africa. They told guests that instead of giving gifts, donate to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.
Prior to the wedding, the couple had a beachside party in El Durado. There were 100 guests, including Jonah Hill and Jason Segal who partied and enjoyed Mexican cuisine. Stevie Nicks even performed at the event. Levine has been linked to several models in the past. He previously dated Anne Vyalitsyna, also a Victoria’s Secret model in 2010. They split in 2012, and shortly after, he began dating Prinsloo. The two had a good relationship, but took a break in 2013. However, they got back together, and eventually Levine proposed.
The happy couple will spend quality time together before Levine returns to work. He has a busy fall season, being one of the judges on the hit talent show, The Voice. Maroon 5 also has a new album out in September titled V. Friends of the couple say the two are in love and having fun. Indeed, the wedding was a great day in Mexico.
