The two television personalities celebrate their 3-year anniversary with a special announcement.
Pop star and television personality Nick Lachey, 40, has announced via Twitter that he and his wife, Vanessa, are expecting their second child.
“Can’t think of a better way to celebrate 3 years of marriage to my beautiful Vanessa Lachey than this!” reads the tweet, posted by Lachey on Tuesday.
The tweet is accompanied by an image of the couple’s first child, Camden, 2, running in the sand. Near the 2-year-old, “It’s a girl” is written in the sand. A heart is drawn around the announcement. In addition, the “i” in girl is dotted with a heart.
Lachey married Vanessa née Minnillo, 33, a model and television personality, on July 15, 2011. They started dating in 2006 after meeting on the set Lachey’s music video “What’s Left of Me.”
The song was reportedly about his divorce from pop star Jessica Simposon, to whom Lachey was married from 2002 to 2006.
According to a February interview with the Huffington Post, Lachey and Vanessa have been trying to have another child since early this year.
“Yes, my husband and I are actively trying!” said Vanessa, to the website. “We’ve wanted to have more kids and if it’s in the cards for us, it’ll be in the cards for us.”
It’s in the cards. A due date for Nick and Vanessa Lachey’s second baby has not been released.
