Weeks after losing one job, McCarthy will be hosting a show for SiriusXM.
Jenny McCarthy has already found a new job. Weeks after 41-year-old McCarthy made news as part of the big changes at ABC’s talk show The View, the comedian, actress, and author has revealed she is hosting a new show on SiriusXM.
McCarthy had been a host on The View for 1 year when she and costar Sherri Shepherd were both asked to leave the famous table. In July McCarthy tweeted, “If Sherri goes…I go too,” and then tweeted thanks to the team at the show. Her last episodes will air this summer.
However, she is clearly landing on her feet. SiriusXM made a press release on Monday to announce that McCarthy is hosting a live, hour-long weekly series. The limited-run series, titled Dirty, Sexy, Funny with Jenny McCarthy, will feature guests such as Chelsea Handler and Perez Hilton discussing a range of topics from sex to parenting with McCarthy. The first show premieres Wednesday July 16.
In a statement accompanying the press release, McCarthy commented, “It’s no secret that I love to talk. I’m excited to do it…without having to interrupt anyone or keep things clean. You can bet your sweet ass this show will live up to its title.”
As of yet, Shepherd’s next career move is unknown.
