There are many, many wonderful locations for al fresco lovemaking – public golf courses, dimly lit alleys, and movie theaters all come to mind. What doesn’t come to mind is the rooftop of a popular fast-casual restaurant chain, but no one told that to this impassioned couple from Delaware: Michael Suh, 38, and Nicole Germack, 27, were arrested by Newark police Saturday evening for getting busy on the roof of a Chipotle restaurant,

Police responded at about 9:40 p.m., after multiple onlookers noticed the couple and dialed authorities. Police say when they arrived on the scene, their initial requests for coitus interruptus went unheeded – the two kept going at it for an additional 15 to 20 seconds, police said.

Several things about the incident are unclear. For one, how did the two lovebirds reach the Chipotle roof in the first place? The restaurant is reportedly two buildings from Suh’s apartment, but there’s no mention of their point of entry or egress. Secondly, why were did so many patrons steer their gaze upward at nearly 10:00 on a Saturday night. Noise, perhaps?

The two were arrested at Suh’s apartment, where they fled after leaving the roof. They were both charged with resisting arrest, lewdness, indecent exposure, loitering and conspiracy. They were released from jail after posting an $1,800 bond.

That must have been an awkward phone call to make.
