Social media posts continue to cause controversy. Former Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel caused a big stir after posting a picture of herself wearing her 4-year-old daughter’s pajamas to Instagram on Sunday. The caption read, “Think we’re ready to start sharing clothes yet?”

Frankel, 43, drew instant ire from the Internet. Commenters have attacked the founder of Skinny Girl cocktail for “looking sick” and for sending her daughter Bryn the wrong message about body awareness by bragging about being the same size. Frankel has admitted to obsessive dieting in the past, using it as a topic on her former talkshow Bethenny and claiming in an 2010 interview with People that her mother was bulimic and she herself went through a period of compulsive food control.

Frankel defended herself with humor on Monday, tweeting, “BREAKING NEWS! World Scandal: Former reality star, failed talk show host & cocktail maven jokes by wearing her kids’ pjs!” She also responded to a follower’s message of support by tweeting, “When ur 4 year old peanut says ‘mommy please put my dress on’ & giggles uncontrollably u do what ur told.” She did not, however, explain why she felt the need to take a picture or place it on Instagram.
