Modern Family star Sofia Vergara celebrated her birthday in Malibu on Thursday with True Blood star Joe Manganiello.

A photo of Sofia and Joe enjoying dinner with family at Nobu Malibu restaurant was posted to Instagram by the actress’ niece, Claudia Vergara.

According to the New York Daily News, Sofia and Joe first met at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in May.

“They just started to hang out,” a source told People magazine.

Vergara and her fiancé Nick Loeb split in May.

At the time, Sofia wrote on her Who Say account that she and nick “are still very close but we believe this is the best thing for us right now.” 

The 42-year-old noted that she and Nick were “having too many problems with figuring out how to spend time together.”
