The body of 31-year-old Matt Bendik, the boyfriend of Glee star Becca Tobin, was discovered by a maid at the Hotel Monaco in Philadelphia on Thursday, the New York Daily News reports.

Bendik, a night-club entrepreneur, was reportedly in the City of Brotherly Love for business. Philly.com notes that Tobin did not accompany Bendik.

“The autopsy did not immediately establish a clear cause of death,” Department of Public Health spokesman Jeff Moran said in a statement obtained by the Philadelphia Daily News. “There was no evidence of trauma. As is the usual procedure in evaluating a sudden, unexpected death, the Philadelphia medical examiner will be conducting additional studies.”

According to ABC News, a report on Bendik’s death said there no drugs in the 31-year-old’s room at the time.

Bendik’s death comes nearly one year after the demise of Glee star Cory Monteith. The actor, who died due to a drug overdose, was dating Tobin’s costar Lea Michele. Monteith’s body was discovered in a Vancouver hotel.
