J-Lo was asked to introduce FLOTUS at a convention in NYC.
Singer Jennifer Lopez has friends in high places.
That fact was on display Thursday when Lopez took a selfie with First Lady Michelle Obama at the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Convention in New York.
“Me and my girl @flotus at #LULAC National convention for the empowerment of Latinos. #represent #keynotespeaker #introingthekeynotespeaker #dreambig,” J-Lo wrote via Instagram.
The New York Daily News reports that Obama was set to address the group when LULAC discovered that J-Lo was going to be in the building at the same. The group asked J-Lo to introduce Obama. Although the actress was preparing to introduce a reality TV show, she was more than happy to help out FLOTUS and LULAC.
“One of the reasons I’m excited today about introducing Mrs. Obama is because we’re passionate about the same things,” J-Lo told audience members, according to AceShowbiz.

The post has been liked by nearly 100,000 users.
