Even though Eva Mendes shot down rumors earlier this year on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, OK! Magazine is now reporting that the actress is in fact pregnant with Ryan Gosling’s child. The tabloid claims that the couple will be expecting a baby girl or boy within the next two months, as Mendes is already seven months along.

Mendes and Gosling started dating after co-starring in the 2012 film The Place Beyond the Pines. Rumors earlier this year suggested that the couple has been on the rocks in recent months, but now insiders are claiming that Mendes’ pregnancy has helped mend their relationship.

Rumors of the pregnancy began in February, when the 40-year-old was overheard telling a TSA worker that she was with child and thus could not walk through an airport security scanner. Two weeks later, Mendes appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to deny those rumors, and her denial seemed genuine as she was lacking any visible baby bump.

“It’s so ridiculous,” said Mendes. “It all started because I didn’t want to go through the scanners of the airport, you know those X-ray scanners, which are really creepy. They basically see you naked. And not only that, but there is a radiation aspect to it so I always opt out. I always ask for a personal patdown.”

However, a source told OK! Magazine otherwise on Wednesday, stating, “She’s been ready for motherhood for a while now. And to be sharing this experience with Ryan is a dream come true for her!”

Despite their enthusiasm for the upcoming baby, some insiders are saying that it isn’t enough to make Gosling ready to jump into a marriage with his girlfriend of three years.

“Ryan doesn’t think they need to marry just because they are having a baby. But Eva believes it’s important to have their lives fully intertwined.”

Regardless of whether or not the couple gets married, sources are saying that Gosling intends on being an excellent father to his baby.

“Ryan grew up without a dad, and he always said when he had kids, he’d be there no matter what,” a source said. “This is it for him.”
