This 4th of July Lea Michele treated fans to a pregnancy announcement that wasn't quite what it seemed.
A special Independence Day tweet came from actress Lea Michele’s Twitter account yesterday that claimed that the star was pregnant.
The tweet read: “Before this gets out to the media, I would like to announce to my fans that I am pregnant. #BabyBoy.”
Lea Michele quickly responded on Twitter that she was hacked, saying that “I was HACKED! Guess @chriscolfer and I should have known better than to make our passwords the names of our cats :).”
She is referring to her Glee costar Chris Colfer, whose Twitter account was also hacked earlier in the week. The social media hackers claimed Colfer was fired from the show. The unauthorized tweet from Colfer’s account read: “Due to personal issues, I have been let go from the cast of GLEE. Explanations will come shortly…”
The two stars ended up interacting with each other and making light of the situation. Colfer replied to Lea Michele on Twitter, saying, “But apparently I’ll be free if you need a babysitter!”
Lea Michele is best known to her fans for her work as Rachel Berry on FOX’s hit television show Glee, where her character was in a romantic relationship with Finn Hudson. Finn was portrayed by her now-deceased real life boyfriend, Cory Monteith, who died of a heroin and alcohol overdose last year.
Many of her supporters have taken to social media to support the star, as her fans feel that the talented star has already been through enough.
