Despite recent rumors of relationship turmoil, the couple shares a romantic dinner in Michigan.
They’re almost to double digits. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary on Sunday, June 29. According to People, the couple enjoyed a romantic meal at French bistro Royal 82 in Michigan. Affleck is currently filming the new Batman vs. Superman movie in Detroit. A source at the restaurant told People that the famous pair “looked like a great couple,” and “paid a lot of attention to each other.”
The couple famously connected in 2003 at work. In a December interview with Playboy, Affleck admitted one of the only upsides to his box office bomb film Daredevil was the boost to his personal life. “That’s where I found my wife,” he said. “We met on Pearl Harbor, which people hate, but we fell in love on Daredevil.” They married in 2005 and share 3 children together: Violet, 7, Seraphina, 5, and Samuel, 2. In the interview, Affleck called Garner, “by leaps and bounds the most important person to me.”
The sweet anniversary dinner comes on the heels of rumored dangerous behavior from Affleck. The actor has faced rumors that his gambling was out of control while he was on his own in Detroit, with a negative effect on his marriage. The couple has not commented on any trouble in their relationship, instead letting their romantic reunion speak for them.
