Courtney Cox takes her second walk down the isle with Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid.
Stars do not need to wait to announce big news anymore thanks to social media. Now things are just a tweet away — and that’s how Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid decided to let their fans know they were engaged this past week.
Cox tweeted a picture with the caption, “I’m engaged to him!” and McDaid did the same only with, “I’m engaged to her!”
They have only been dating eight months and were introduced to one another by none other than another by Ed Sheeran. Who would have guessed he was not only an amazing singer and songwriter, but a matchmaker as well? He should play a role in their wedding, perhaps the world’s oldest ring bearer?
The couple was recently down in the Caribbean Islands of Turks and Caicos celebrating the Cougar Town star’s 50th birthday. Yes, she still looks as great as she did in the 1990’s. Her now-fiancé is a mere 37-years-old and plays for the band Snow Patrol.
Cox, on the other hand, is obviously known for playing Monica on Friends for 10 years. The news of her first marriage to David Arquette in 1999 was hard for fans to swallow because most thought she belonged with her on-screen love Chandler Bing, played by Matthew Perry. Cox and Arquette separated in 2000 and officially divorced in 2013. They share joint-custody of a 10-year-old daughter and remain friends.
As Cox walks down the isle a second time, fans of Friends will always have the memories.
