Shia LeBeouf just keeps running into trouble.
Shia LeBeouf just keeps running into trouble. The 28-year-old actor was recently arrested for belligerent behavior during a performance of the Broadway musical Cabaret, starring Michelle Williams and Alan Cummings. He was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespass after refusing to leave the theater. During a solo performance by Williams, the actor fell out of his chair and started yelling at the actors. Security has him removed and arrested.
Now reports say he also harassed a homeless man earlier that evening before going to the theater. According to a witness, LeBeouf wanted the contents of the man’s McDonald’s bag. He chased after the man, yelling at him and demanding he give him the food. The whole ordeal was very bizarre.
LeBeouf reportedly drank several margaritas earlier in the day before the Cabaret incident at Studio 54. While no drugs were involved, too much alcohol is a likely factor in this ordeal. He was released on Friday.
This is not the first incident of controversy or legal troubles for the star. Earlier this year, he walked out on a press conference for the film Nymphomaniac. Later, he appeared on the red carpet wearing a paper bag over his head that read, “I am not famous anymore.” In 2005, LeBeouf was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon. He was arrested again in 2007 for misdemeanor criminal trespassing after refusing to leave a Walgreens store. The charges were later dropped. In February 2011, the actor got into an altercation at the Mad Bull’s Tavern Bar with another patron.
Lebeouf is a former Disney star who rose to fame as the star of the Transformers’ franchise. His latest film, Fury, will hit theaters this November. Fans and peers hope he will put his wild behavior behind him.
