American Hustle actress Amy Adams is one classy first class flier. According to Jemele Hill, co-host of ESPN2′s “Numbers Never Lie,” Adams gave up her first class seat to a soldier during a flight from Detroit to Los Angeles.

“Just saw actress Amy Adams do something incredibly classy,” Hill tweeted. “She gave her 1st class seat to an American soldier.”

“I’m an even bigger fan now,” Hill added.

In an email sent to Today.com, Hill further explained that she saw Adams take note of the uniformed soldier’s presence among the flight’s passengers prior to takeoff.

“I think she must have said something to the flight attendant, because before we took off she had vacated her seat and the flight attendant brought the soldier to her seat,” Hill wrote.

When Adams arrived in Los Angeles, Inside Edition asked her about her decision to exchange seats with a soldier. “I didn’t do it for attention for myself, I did it for attention for the troops,” the actress said, declining to discuss it further.

Adams grew up in a military family with her father having served as a U.S. Army officer.
