The actress discusses her future in show business.
Actress Megan Fox has chosen to devote more time to her family in exchange for less time working on movie roles.
“I’ve never been an extraordinarily ambitious girl or career-oriented, but especially once I got pregnant with my first son,” the 28-year old told Parents Magazine. “And now [having] my second, it’s so hard to be a working mom especially when your heart is not in your work, when your heart is with your family.”
The mother of two is currently married to Beverly Hills 90210’s, Brian Austin Green, and is the stepmother of his son Kassius from a previous relationship with actress, Vanessa Marcil.
Megan Fox has a lot on her plate with 11-year-old Kassius, 2-year-old Noah Shannon Green, and four-month-old Bodhi Ransom Green—so much so that she’s shifted her focus away from acting in order to raise the kids.
“I have to make one movie a year because I have to invest in their future and I have to be able to pay their way through college and be able to provide for them,” she said.
She tries hard to stay close to home for film roles in order to be with the children.
“I’m looking for movies that will shoot in Los Angeles, for projects where I’m part of an ensemble so I can shoot in and out in 10-20 days,” she said. “It’s all about trying to spend as little time away from my kids as possible.”
Megan Fox plays April O’Neil in the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie in theaters August 8th.
