Nine executions have been stayed or postponed since the botched Oklahoma execution.

According to a CNN report, a Florida man became the third person to be executed in the U.S. in the past 24 hours on Wednesday night.

Sixty-three-year-old John Ruthell Henry was put to death at the Florida State Prison in Starke. He killed his wife and her son in December 1985.

A Missouri man was also executed on Wednesday. John Winfield was put to death for killing two women in 1996.

Fifty-nine-year-old Marcus Wellons was executed on Tuesday. Wellons raped and killed 15-year-old India Roberts in 1993.

The three executions were the first since the botched execution of Clayton Lockett in April. CBS reports that prison officials in Oklahoma stopped Lockett’s execution after observing that the lethal injection drugs weren’t being administered into his vein correctly. The convicted killer died of a heart attack shortly after.
