Former Jersey Shore star Mike Sorrentino arrested for simple assault on Tuesday.
The Situation is still living up to his nickname. According to TMZ, Former Jersey Shore star Mike Sorrentino, better known as “the Situation,” was arrested on Tuesday in Middletown, New Jersey. Employees at the Boca Tanning Salon called the authorities to respond to a “fist-fight” inside the store. The police arrested the Situation on a charge of simple assault.
In TMZ’s video, the Situation, sporting the beginnings of a black eye, explains the altercation occurred between he and his brother Frank due to a difference of opinions on how to run the salon, which is a family business. Frank was not arrested at the scene.
The LA Times reports the Sorrentino family opened the Boca Tanning Salon in March and are being filmed to appear on a TV Guide Network reality show, aptly titled The Sorrentinos, sometime later this summer. It is unknown if filming was occurring at the time of the brawl.
The Situation posted a $500 bail and was released. His court date has not yet been set.
