Two of music's most reviled performers have teamed up for a new track "for the fans."
Pop singer Justin Bieber spent the weekend in the studio with singer Chris Brown to collaborate on new music “for the fans,” reports E! Online.
Bieber, 20, posted a photo to Instagram showing him in the studio with Brown, 25. The pair is joined by Akon and two other friends.
The young singer captioned the image, “Studio.”
Another image, depicting just Brown and Bieber, was posted to the pop star’s Instagram account on Monday.
“Studio,” reads the caption of the latest image. “Me and CB did 1 for the fans.”
Bieber and Brown had previously collaborated on “Next to You,” a track from Brown’s 2011 release, F.A.M.E.
Last weekend’s studio time comes on the heels of Brown’s release from jail, where he spent time for violating terms of his probation.
Bieber, too, has had numerous brushes with the law.
He was most recently cleared of charges in an attempted robbery case in Los Angeles. He was accused of trying to take a woman’s cellphone in retaliation for photographing him. Charges were dropped on Monday.
In addition, Bieber recently reached a plea agreement regarding an alleged operating while intoxicated charge in Miami. As part of the plea deal, Bieber must attend anger management classes and pay a fine — though he does avoid probation.
However, the troubled star could still face vandalism charges from a January incident in which he allegedly egged his neighbor’s house.
