The 'American Idol' winner is already a stepmom to her husband's two children.
Singer Kelly Clarkson, 32, has given birth to her first child, a daughter, on Thursday. She announced the news via Twitter.
The father is Clarkson’s husband, Brandon Blackstock, a talent manager. They named the child River Rose Blackstock.
“Our baby girl River Rose Blackstock arrived on June 12!” tweeted Clarkson, on June 14. “Thank you everyone for all of your well wishes!”
The pair married in October 2013. They began dating in February 2012 and announced their engagement that December.
“Brandon is my manager’s son,” said Clarkson, to the Daily Mail in May 2012. “I’ve known him for six years but he was married for most of that time. Then, suddenly, there he was at the Super Bowl and he was single…”
Blackstock is already the father of a boy, 11, and a girl, 7, from a previous marriage. He is also the stepson of country singer Reba McEntire.
Shortly after they married, Clarkson knew that she wanted to have a baby.
“More than anything, next I want a baby. Lots of them!” said Clarkson, to US Magazine at the time. “My record label is freaking out because all I can talk about now are babies. We’re really excited and want to get our family started.”
“Brandon and I are on cloud 9!!,” gushed Clarkson, in her tweet from Saturday announcing the birth of her baby girl.
