Report: 'Hot Prowler' suspect arrested outside of Sandra Bullock's home

The actress was home at the time of the incident but was not harmed.

A 39 year old man was arrested outside of Sandra Bullock’s Los Angeles residence early Sunday morning. The actress was home at the time of the incident but was not harmed.

Officers showed up at around 6:30 a.m. responding to a call involving a “hot prowler suspect”, according to Muria Venegas, public information officer for the Los Angeles Police Department. Such a designation is given to a report when an individual is in the home when police arrive on scene.

“An intruder was arrested on her property this morning. She is unharmed and is fine”, Bullock’s rep confirmed exclusively to People magazine.

The man, identified as Joshua Corbett, never physically entered the home but appeared to be “checking out the house” according to police. While Bullock was inside, it is unknown if her four year old son Louis was also with her at the time.

Corbett was taken into custody and brought to the West L.A. Police division where he was booked on residential burglary charges and is currently being held on $150,000 bail.

Hours before the incident, Bullock had received the “Decade of Hotness” Award at Spike TV’s Guys’ Choice Awards that were held at Sony Studios in Culver City, CA. “My question was what decade,” Bullock joked aloud. “I have several under my belt. It should really be a decade of hot mess.”

The 49 year old Oscar winning actress is best known for her roles in Speed, The Blind Side, and Miss Congeniality. She was recently nominated for her performance in the film Gravity.
