Hugh Jackman has yet another new look. The Australian actor, known for his willingness to physically transform his body to play characters such as a starving French convict or the incredibly muscular Wolverine, has taken on a new change. Jackman, 45, posted a picture to his Instragram on Tuesday revealing himself with a completely bald head. The caption reads “Blackbeard is Born. #Pan.”

As Cinema Blend reports, Jackman is slated to star in the movie Pan, directed by Joe Wright and starring Rooney Mara and Amanda Seyfried. Jackman’s character, the legendary pirate Blackbeard, trains Captain Hook, who will be played by Garrett Hedlund. The film is scheduled to be released in 2015 and is described as a family-friendly reimagining similar to Disney’s Maleficent, which earned $70 million dollars on its opening weekend this month.

The haircut comes only days after Jackman hosted the Tonys with a full head of hair intact. He earned mixed reviews for his energetic performance of his duties, which included bouncing, singing, and rapping.
