Sandra Bullock gets emergency protective order against burglar

Bullock obtained the order against the man caught breaking into her house over the weekend.

Sandra Bullock has received an emergency protective order against a man caught inside her house in Los Angeles over the weekend. As TMZ reported, the actress, 49, was at home with her son Louis when Joshua Corbett broke in through the back door early Sunday morning. Bullock called 911 and Corbett, 39, was arrested within her house.

Bullock’s rep told People magazine that Bullock was “unharmed and fine.” However, while Corbett was arrested on suspicion of residential burglary, it now appears that he was not simply a casual prowler. On Monday, law enforcement sources told Today that Corbett had an obsession with Bullock, which included keeping a diary about her. He was found rummaging through her personal belongings. These revelations likely spurred the actress, who is known for her tight security precautions, to request the protective order. Corbett remains in jail at this time, having failed to post a $50,000 bail.

The break-in came hours after Bullock accepted an award from Spike TV on Saturday night. As E! news reported, former costars Keanu Reeves, Hugh Grant, and Matthew McConaughey presented her with a “Decade of Hotness” award at the Guys Choice Awards, which she accepted with the joke, “my question was what decade?”

Bullock also shares a home with her son in New Orleans.
