The fitness tracker wearable from LG is coming to Europe and Asia – including India – in the coming weeks.

One of the latest wearable devices on the market is the LG Lifeband Touch, which was released in the U.S. last month and is headed to Europe and Asia within several weeks, according to reports.

In the U.S., Lifeband Touch retails for $150. It is the latest entry into the growing wearable market, coming ahead of the recently announce HTC One Wear wearable and the rumored Apple iWatch, which will offer more features and likely cost more. LG Electronics of South Korea now joins its country rival Samsung – which sells the Gear Fit – in the lucrative fitness wearable market.

The LG Lifeband Touch is a fitness tracker band and is sold in medium, 6.5-inch, and large, 7.1-inch, versions. The device keeps tabs on user calories burned during a workout and other fitness-related data. It’s compatible with Apple iPhones, iPads and Google Android phones and tablets, including LG G Flex and LG G2, which can be synced through the LG Fitness app.

The Lifeband Touch features a OLED display, music controls and a 3-axis accelerometer to measure forward, backward and sideways exercises, according to Pulse 2.0. The wearable also monitors the heart rate. The LG product is powered by a rechargeable battery that lasts 2-3 days on Bluetooth and five days without. It works with apps such as MyFitnessPal and RunKeeper.

TheNextDigit’s Wayne Murphy was less than impressed with LG’s newest gadget, writing in a review that “there are many flaws that keeps LG Lifeband Touch out of the list of great devices.” Among them are call notification but inability to actually pick up a call, a screen that doesn’t offer great visibility in sunlight and is “too small to make clear touch generated actions.” Also, “repeated vibrations and notifications about your achievements can at times be really disturbing.”
