Hillary Clinton laughs off Karl Rove’s remarks about her brain damage

Hillary Clinton took a good-humored shot at Karl Rove on Friday for suggesting recently that she may have suffered brain damage following a blood clot in 2012.

Hillary Clinton took a good-humored shot at Karl Rove on Friday for suggesting recently that she may have suffered brain damage following a blood clot in 2012.

Hilary said that while she had suffered a “serious concussion” that led to a blood clot, she was put on blood thinners, has “no lingering effects,” and is in good health.

“I know he was called [George W.] ‘Bush’s brain’ in one of the books written about him, and I wish him well,” said Clinton, in an interview with ABC News’ Diane Sawyer.

Clinton also said that if she runs for president in 2016, she will release her medical records.

The 66-year-old Clinton also addressed questions about her age, specifically a comment by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell who said in March that the potential Democratic field for 2016 looked like a “rerun of the Golden Girls.”

Clinton, who is widely expected to run for president, has yet to make up her mind. Meanwhile, her supporters await an official announcement as Clinton privately mulls whether to make another play for the Oval Office.

The former Secretary of State heads to Chicago next week to promote her second memoir, Hard Choices, on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Karl Rove, stood by his comments, despite the fact that many Democrats, including her husband, former President Bill Clinton defended Hillary.

After Rove was asked about Clinton’s “inevitability” as the Democratic nominee in 2016 on Fox News, the former George W. Bush aide said “people don’t like people who seem to already have it made.”

Rove’s comments are in line with what a number of other Republicans have said about 2016. Democrats have charged that questioning Clinton’s age is sexist and out of bounds.
