Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart have officially ended their relationship after two years of dating. While sources claim the split was amicable, new rumors are placing the blame for the breakup on Smart for seeing transsexual model Xristina Marie behind Lopez’s back.

Tabloids recently discussed Smart’s interactions with the transsexual model on Instagram. However, sources close to the couple say that Lopez and Smart quietly split nearly two months ago because they simply grew apart and Smart’s conversations with Marie didn’t begin until long after the breakup.

“Casper has been a single guy and can text or see whoever he wants, but the idea that he was knowingly texting a transsexual is laughable,” one source told TMZ.  “He’s not that guy, but like a lot of single guys online he obviously likes to look at a ‘lil T and A.”

Another source told Us Weekly that the relationship was doomed to fail because of career aspirations of the two extremely busy entertainers.

“Their relationship couldn’t work with the distance. He started trying to establish his own life and career, and she is so focused on hers, and they just couldn’t be all about each other anymore.”

According to E! News, Lopez actually turned to her ex-husband Marc Anthony for advice during the breakup.

“One person she got advice from is her ex Marc…He’s been supportive and great through this all.”

While their busy schedules will make it difficult for the 44-year-old singer and her 27-year-old former backup dancer to stay close friends after the split, insiders believe that the duo will do what they can to stay in each other’s lives.

“She will definitely still keep things civil and actually still loves him. The hard part is the kids love him too. He has become a part of her family,” said one insider. “It’s not going to be one of those breakups where you never see them together again.”
