Tesla already has a Model S and a Model X.
According to a report from Forbes, Tesla CEO Elon Musk told shareholders on Tuesday that Ford is “killing SEX.”
Don’t worry, Musk didn’t mean that Ford is literally destroying lovemaking. He meant that Ford is preventing the electric carmaker from producing a Model E. The company already has a Model S and a Model X, so a Model E would have spelled SEX.
Ford’s most recent claim to the letter E came in December, Forbes says, when the auto company filed another new application for the Model E trademark. In May, Tesla gave up its trademark effort, following a call from Ford in which the car giant threatened to sue Musk’s company.
In a statement released by Ford and obtained by Forbes, the automaker said that “the matter has been resolved amicably” after “Ford insisted that Tesla abide by the parties’ earlier agreement” in which “Tesla agreed not to register or use Model E.”
In other Tesla news, CNET reports that Tesla’s first supercharger station in Beijing is now operational.
