Her latest album also features a duet with Carrie Underwood.
Country star Miranda Lambert’s fifth album, Platinum, hits store shelves on Tuesday.
In an interview with Us Weekly, Lambert talks about what makes this album special. For example, Platinum will feature a duet with fellow country star Carrie Underwood.
“I sent her a rambling email asking her to do it,” Miranda said when asked how she found herself working with Underwood. “I figured she’d think I was crazy, but she wrote right back saying she was in.”
“I was so nervous the day she came to the studio,” admitted Lambert, who is married to Voice judge and recording artist Blake Shelton. “We ended up having a blast.”
Miranda was also asked about her decision to vocalize her struggles with weight in “Gravity Is a Bitch.”
“I’ve always been happy with myself. But when I hit 30, I thought, It’s not going to get easier. So I chose to get ahead of it,” she said.
In April, Miranda won Female Vocalist of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards.
