R&B singer Ray J was reportedly arrested after getting into an altercation at a Beverly Hills hotel.

Police were called to the Beverly Wilshire hotel Friday night. They had been called to investigate an accusation that he had inappropriately touched a woman at the bar. According to a statement from the Beverly Hills cops, the contact was ruled incidental, not sexual battery. The singer was asked to leave.

Upon existing the premises, he became aggravated with the valet and refused to leave. Ray J was taken into custody. He allegedly kicked out a police car window and spit on a police officer’s face. The 33-year-old brother of singer-actress Brandy was booked for trespassing, vandalism, battery of an officer and resisting arrest.

The incident comes less than a week after Ray J’s ex-girlfriend, Kim Kardashian married rapper Kanye West in a lavish ceremony in Florence, Italy. Ray J and Kardashian famously made a sex tape while dating, which leaked in February 2007 and inadvertently kick-started her entertainment career.

TMZ reported that Ray J attempted to send the newlyweds the money he had made off of the famed sex-tape as a wedding present.  Previously, the rapper released a song called ‘I hit it first’ said to have been about his relationship with Kardashian.  These bizarre overtures suggest that perhaps Ray J hasn’t moved on, and perhaps his current outburst may have been inspired by lingering resentment towards his Ex’s happily ever after.

This is not Ray J’s first altercation with police nor the first time an altercation has been motivated by events taking place in the rapper’s life. When Whitney Houston died in 2012, he was said to have gone crazy on the police who were at the scene. He had been romantically linked to the singer. According to TMZ, Ray J, born William Ray Norwood, Jr, reportedly heard a “disrespectful comment” and laughter. He tried to get inside the hotel suite twice. He was eventually moved off the floor completely— not without verbally attacking the officers in the room.

Norwood reportedly bonded out of jail Friday night after posting a 20-thousand-dollar bail. A representative for the singer declined to comment about the arrest. Kim and Kanye are currently in the midst of their honeymoon said to be taking place in Ireland.
