Tina Fey, Jason Bateman, and several other stars joined author Jonathan Topper to promote their new movie ‘This Is Where I Leave You’  based on the book by the same name written by Topper.

The movie is about the Altman Family dealing with their individual problems while reconnecting after the death of their father. The children are invited back to their mother’s house to put the family back together, but each person has personal problems to handle, like Bateman’s character who knows his wife is having an affair.

The cast of this movie consists of many A-Listers, including Jane Fonda, Jason Bateman, Tina Fey, Corey Stoll, and Adam Driver. The movie is set for release on September 12th, 2014.

BookCon is a conference where readers get a chance to meet authors, editors, and publishers. This year was the first of what strives to be an annual event held in New York City and organized by ReedPOP, the same organizers behind New York Comic Con, Star Wars Celebration, and Special Edition: NYC.

BookCon has special events like question and answer sessions with famous authors and media screenings. Visitors of BookCon had a preview of ‘This Is Where I Leave You’.

USA Today reported that the stars joined Topper at BookCon in New York. Topper said that he would like to keep bringing movie stars on his book tours because, “I don’t get these kinds of crowds”.
