The poster was banned in part because of "curve of under breast," a source told the New York Post's Page Six.

According to the New York Post’s Page Six, Eva Green’s new Sin City poster has been banned by the Motion Picture Association of American (MPAA) for being too sexy.

A source told Page Six that the poster was banned “for nudity — curve of under breast and dark nipple/areola circle visible through sheer gown.”

E! Online reports that the MPAA has not released an official statement on the decision to ban Green’s poster, but that Dimension Films is currently trying to find common ground with the MPAA.

A source told E! Online that this type of issue isn’t unusual and that a compromise between the filmmaker and the MPAA is usually reached.

According to the group’s website, the MPAA “aspire[s] to advance the business and the art of filmmaking and celebrate its enjoyment around the world.” The MPAA includes such heavy hitters as the Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, Paramount Pictures Corporation and Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc. among others.
