What's your favorite vintage computer?
Imagine what today’s kids would do if they encountered an old Apple II. Thanks to the latest video from the “Kids React to Technology” series by Fine Brothers Productions we can find out for ourselves.
According to oldcomputers.net, the Apple II debuted in 1977. An Apple II with 4K RAM cost $1298 and an Apple II with 48K RAM cost $2638. Its OS was a Woz Integer BASIC in ROM.
When asked to turn the computer on, many of the kids found the monitor switch but were unable to turn the rest of the computer on until the narrator explained that the on switch was in the back.
While there are many great one-liners from the video, the best line comes at the end when the kids are asked to play a shooting game. “At least it’s better than Flappybird,” a six-year-old girl remarks.
The video has more than 2.7 million views on YouTube.
