The entry-level Android tablet from HP has 8GB internal storage, a 1GHz processor and will be sold in the U.S.
Hewlett-Packard is not going to wow anyone with its latest release but that doesn’t mean the entry-level HP 7 Plus, which carries an attractive $99 price tag, won’t make a splash as an instant basement bargain.
The 7-inch Android tablet has a 1024 x 600 resolution screen and is powered by Allwinner A31 SoC processor with four Cortex A7 cores that generate up to 1 GHz of speed, TechCrunch reports.
The thrifty tablet comes with a Power VR SGX544MP2 GPU, 1GB of RAM, and additional specs that include 8GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, 2 megapixel rear camera, 0.3 megapixel front camera, MicroUSB 2.0 and a 2800 mAh battery that lasts up to five hours.
HP 7 Plus runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and HP is sweetening the deal with 25GB of lifetime cloud storage and free Kingsoft Office, according to TheNextDigit.
The tablet will be available for purchase from U.S. retailers soon, and no word was given whether it will be sold in other territories.
