According to CBSLA.com, Casey Kasem’s daughter Kerri Kasem won a special court order in Washington State on Friday. The court order gives Kerri the ability to make health care decisions on her father’s behalf.

Also on Friday, The Associated Press notes that Casey’s wife Jean Kasem was served with a California court order that temporarily suspends her ability to determine her husband’s medical care.

“My husband is very happy and comfortable in our family and has told me time and time again that he wishes to remain under my care,” Jean told KING-TV in an interview.

Casey, who is said to be suffering from dementia, was found in Washington State earlier this month after a Los Angeles judge expressed concerns about his whereabouts and safety amid a bitter custody dispute between his wife and children from another marriage.
