Singer Ciara gave birth to her first child on Monday, confirms People magazine.

The same day, the singer posted a message to her official Twitter account that declares the baby’s full name, weight at and date of birth.

According to her tweet, Future Zahir Wilburn was born May 19, 2014, weighing in at a whopping 9 lbs., 10 oz.

The tweet was accompanied by an Instagram photo of the newborn’s arm.

The baby’s father is Ciara’s fiancé, hip hop artist Future, 30, né Nayvadius Cash. The couple have been engaged since October.

After months of speculation, Ciara, 28, confirmed her by revealing her baby bump during a January appearance on The View.

Ciara spoke to People about her maternity style back in April.

“I like to be free and comfortable and relaxed. I don’t want to feel stressed. It’s already so much with your belly being so big,” noted the singer, while still pregnant.

“When I have to get cute, I will get cute and put on some heels for an hour or two – and then throw those things off as soon as I get in the car!”

The baby’s father also noted his son’s birth with a simple two-word tweet, “Baby FUTURE.”
