How to Train Your Dragon 2 star American Ferrera was shocked and thought she was in a “crazy weird dream” when she was pranked by Vitalii Sediuk, a Ukrainian reporter known for his red carpet pranks.

Sediuk, who has previously pranked the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Will Smith and even Adele, crawled under Ferrera’s Georges Hobeika gown at the premier of her new film at the Cannes International Film Festival last Friday, before being dragged away by bodyguards.

Ferrera was quick to laugh off the incident, saying “Of all of the things I prepared myself for, that was not one of them.”

“It felt like a crazy weird dream. It was like, I was at Cannes in my dream. I was on the red carpet and Cate Blanchett was next to me, and then some guy jumped under my dress!”

Ferrera was not the only one who was shocked by the event. Dean DeBlois, the films director had this to say: “It was so confusing. I thought someone was coming to fluff her dress for the photo and all of a sudden he’s, like, under it. And it was all sort of over before anyone could process it. He got hauled off and thrown in jail.”

Previous incidents have not been as well-received; after kissing Will Smith at the Men in Black III premier in Moscow he was slapped by the star.
