Rumors circulate as followers of the iconic couple try to determine the secret details of their upcoming wedding.
The rumor mill has been churning for months over Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s upcoming wedding, but things got crazier than usual this week as one rumor stated that the couple is confirmed for a ceremony in Florence and another stated they booked a Palace of Versailles wedding. Kimye fans likely have noticed how much conflicting information is being released by a variety of websites claiming “inside sources,” so the best way to figure out which details are fact and which are fiction is to break the rumors down piece by piece.
Upon hearing a few of the latest wedding rumors, Kim Kardashian tweeted on May 7, ” Unless you hear it from us please don’t believe nonsense!” However, since she has yet to clear up any of the confusion, here is what fans can speculate for now.
When is this wedding?
Elisa Di Lupo, the spokeswoman for the Florence mayor’s office, stated that the wedding will take place on May 24. TMZ claims that the couple already got married in a private, at-home ceremony during the first weekend of May – however, they revealed that Kim and Kanye are planning a ceremonial “wedding” in Paris on the same date, May 24. So for now, that date seems to be the most agreed-upon for the Kimye wedding.
Where will the wedding take place?
Kim seemed to answer this question back in January on Jimmy Kimmel Live, when she said, “I think it’s kind of obvious that it’s in Paris.”
The iconic couple has a second apartment in the City of Light, so it does seem a likely location for their nuptials. However, a spokeswoman from the mayor’s office of Florence, Italy, released a statement earlier this week that Kim and Kanye had booked the historic Belvedere Fort for their wedding. Then hours later, E! announced that the couple booked the Palace of Versailles for their wedding. Just when things couldn’t get more confusing, ET claimed on Thursday that the rehearsal dinner will be held in Paris and guests would then be flown out to Florence for the wedding.
Who will be in attendance?
OK! reported last week that Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian will be invited to the wedding, and E! has stated Kendall and Kylie Jenner will possibly serve as bridesmaids. These are all fairly obvious guests, considering they are siblings of the bride. Other names rumored to be on the guest list – which In Touch claims is made up of 150 attendees and Us Weekly puts at 120 – are Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and Jamie Foxx.
