What did you think of Caleb's performance?
If there’s ever a sign that a performer is destined for greatness, it’s the ability to overcome adversity and perform with all of his or her heart.
While American Idol contestant Caleb Johnson may have had to hold up a card that said, “I lost my voice,” the rocker stunned audiences with a powerful rendition of a Led Zeppelin classic, “Dazed and Confused.”
TV Guide said that it was clear Caleb had been “saving his voice for the final number.” In fact, Caleb’s performance was so powerful that country singer and Idol judge Keith Urban threw his chair.
Idol also celebrated the fact that Wednesday night’s show was the long-running singing competition’s 500th episode, according to Entertainment Weekly. Idol celebrated this momentous achievement by playing a montage of some the memorable moments from the show’s past, including Kelly Clarkson’s original audition and William Hung trying to sing.
